标准的英文书信格式
1、 信头（Heading）
指发信人的姓名（单位名称）、地址和日期，一般写在信纸的右上角。
2、 日期的写法：
如：1997年7月30日，英文为：July 30，1997（最为普遍）； July 30th，1997；
3、称呼（Salutation）：
是写信人对收信人的称呼用语。位置在信内地址下方一、二行的地方，从该行的顶格写起，
在称呼后面一般用逗号（英国式），也可以用冒号（美国式）。
4、正文（Body of the Letter）：
位置在下面称呼语隔一行，是信的核心部分。
5、 结束语（Complimentary Close）：
在正文下面的一、二行处，从信纸的中间偏右处开始，第一个词开头要大写，句末用逗号。

I’m very glad to learn that you're going to visit me during the holiday. My parents will also be happy to see you again. I am sure you will enjoy every minute here.
I have arranged our schedule for the holiday as follows. On the first day you arrive, I’ll show you around our campus. On the second day, we'll visit the art gallery and the music hall. Next day, we'll climb a hill in the northeastern part of the city. On the top of the hill, we can have a wonderful bird's eye view of the city. 发言稿正文常分为三部分：
第一部分：开门见山地提出本人要谈的问题及对问题的看法
第二部分：说明理由。常用到的连接成分有：first of all,secondly,finally等等。
第三部分：照应开头，总结全文。可以对全文作简明扼要的总结，也可以谈自己的感想、看法或期望。 常用到的句式有：In short…,In a word,I think,I expect等
因为高考试题在命题形式上侧重于考查发言稿正文的写法。所以写正文时要注意以下三点：
观点要鲜明。对问题持有什看法，要明确表态，不要含糊其辞。要中心明确，重点突出，但不必面面俱到。
条理要清晰。一篇发言稿要谈几方面的问题，每一方面有那些要点要进行阐述，都要安排得有条有理，让人听起来容易抓住重点。
适当增加关联词和细节。发言稿开头于结尾已经给出。那么在命题形式上侧重于考查发言稿正文的写法，所以我们在根据要点组织正文内容时，可以适当增加关联词和细节，以使短文连贯、完整。
语言要简洁明快，发言时因为要直接面对听众，所以发言稿的特定形式决定了其语言的口语性强，因此应少用复杂句，多用简单句。话说的要准确、易懂，最好运用大众语言。所以我们在组织句子时要注意“三多一少”即简单句式多，祈使句多、情态动词多，修饰性词语少。但文中的句型也要善于变化，不要过于单一。
